The technique could possibly be used to “animate” illustrations of phenomena such as fluid flow, flux lines, or weather patterns.'

No doubt, Kaia Nao's Floating Star optical illusion gives the strongest floating effect I have seen up to date.

Actually, there is no mirror ..... two bud vases are placed either side of a frame, it's our assumption about there being a mirror that reflects the vase.

Leandro Erlich, master of interactive illusions from Argentina, created a Bâtiment (Building in French) that allows you to see what you would look like as building-climbing comic book character i.e. spiderman.

How it Works:

Erlich's installation composed of two elements-

1) A massive building facade, complete with balconies, shutters, and all the window trimmings planted firmly on the floor and
2) A giant mirror rising up vertically from the bottom of the façade.

Means, it's just the clever arrangement of mirrors which allows you to see yourself appear to walk on the side of a building.

Initially, you may see a meaningless mixture of black dots and spots on white background ..... but, if you look close enough with great attention then it wouldn't be any difficut for you to find the silhouette of a dog i.e. a Dalmatian dog, with its nose down, sniffing the ground.

Dog's ear, snout, shoulder, and left leg came first in view, and the rest fills itself in.

Twisting trunk of oak tree looks like a fish i.e. Disney clownfish Nemo ..... with a gaping nook in the bark appears to create the mouth of the 'fish' while a well-placed knot forms the creature’s eye.

Why named Tree-mo? 

The oak tree in Hertfordshire, which became popular local tourist attraction, has been nicknamed Tree-mo by staff at the InEx Garden Centre in Goffs Oak because it's a dead ringer for the clownfish star of Disney's Finding Nemo.
